Fairy and Miniature Fairy Garden Events in the Northeast - Fall 2017

Posted by Miniature Expressions on

With summer coming to an end Fall event planning is underway. We especially like to keep our eye out for Fairy and Miniature Fairy Gardening related events (food festivals are always nice too).

Early autumn is a great time of year to be outside in the Northeast. All of the beautiful colors are breathtaking. The temperature is comfortable. And you can feel a bit of the holiday magic coming in the air. Fairies love magic!

If you are an early planner like us, you'll want a heads up on some cool fairy and fairy gardening themed events and festivals. And if you are going to participate with some original fairy garden or fairy house designs, consider adding some of our  figurines or accessories to your display.

Here are a few we've seen so far. As more are announced for the Northeast keep checking and we will post the information right here:

THE 13TH ANNUAL PORTSMOUTH FAIRY HOUSE TOUR

Where: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

When: September 23 & 24, 2017, from 11am - 3pm.

The Friends of the South End Portsmouth Fairy House Tour--the world's largest fairy house tour--takes place each fall in the historic South End Neighborhood of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. More than 200 fairy houses built by creative professionals, community members, and students will be on display on the grounds of Strawbery Banke, the Governor John Langdon House, and in Prescott Park.

THE NATURE MUSEUM'S 9TH ANNUAL FAIRY HOUSE FESTIVAL

Where: Grafton, Vermont (forests)

When: September 23 & 24, 2017 from 10am - 4pm

Visitors will follow a nature path sprinkled with charming fairy houses, where the acorn cap dinnerware and shelf fungi table remind them to walk spritely on the earth. Visitors then return to The Nature Museum to create their own fairy dwellings in the gardens. Hands-on crafts, face painting, and bubbles round out this interactive and magical experience for all. Light refreshments will be available for purchase; we also encourage picnicking.
